For roasters/processors. Ask crop year, region, process, screen, moisture, defect tolerance, cup profile and lot size. Discuss contract-selected jute or liner/big-bag, marks, samples and a dry, clean, odour-free container. Applicable exporter registration and quality controls must be met.

Ask origin, crop, fermentation, moisture, bean count, mould/slaty/foreign-matter tolerance and sampling. Discuss food-appropriate bags, optional liner, lot separation, ventilation and moisture/odour protection.

Palm oil

Ask raw/refined type, polarisation, ICUMSA colour, moisture, grain size and destination standard. Discuss lined sacks/FIBC, dry cargo space, contamination protection, marks and containerised or nominated bulk movement.

Ask crude/refined grade, FFA, moisture/impurities, colour, iodine value and end use. Discuss food-grade flexitank, ISO tank or nominated parcel, cleanliness records, seals and samples; heating only if grade/carrier require it.

Calibre, colour, juice, rind defects, residue limits and destination protocol; ventilated cartons, pallets, pre-cooling and uninterrupted reefer.

Variety, stem length, bud stage, bunch count, freshness and defects; sleeved bunches, moisture-resistant cartons, rapid pre-cooling and cold chain. Assess air or validated sea-reefer by flower type, season, route and destination.
